Fans of The Amazing World of Gumball have reason to celebrate as the beloved animated series makes its long-awaited return—this time with a fresh twist. The new series, The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, is set to premiere on Hulu and Disney+ in the US and Cartoon Network globally, marking a new chapter for the franchise.

Originally airing from 2011 to 2019, The Amazing World of Gumball captivated audiences with its unique blend of animation styles, surreal humor, and heartfelt storytelling. Now, six years after its conclusion, the show is back with even wilder adventures. The teaser trailer, released on social media, shows Gumball waking up from a seven-year slumber, only to realize he and his pet fish Darwin are late for school—by seven years.

The new series promises to retain the charm of the original while introducing fresh, chaotic storylines. According to the official synopsis, Gumball will face off against an evil fast-food empire, a sentient AI in love with his mom, and even attempt to stop Banana Joe from wearing pants.

Ben Bocquelet, the creator of the original series, returns as an executive producer alongside Matt Layzell and Erik Fountain. The voice cast includes Teresa Gallagher as Nicole, Giles New and Rich Fulcher.
