Premiering December 18th on BBC One at 7pm and iPlayer, Philip Pullman's epic fantasy returns for its final instalment and the stakes are higher than ever. 

This season will see Lord Azriel (James McAvoy) gather forces to wage a war that will determine the fate of not just his world, but all worlds; whilst Lyra is back with her mother and on the run from the magisterium. As for the witches Ruta Shadi (Jade Anouka) and Serafina Pekkala (Ruta Gedmentis), as it stands, their whereabouts remain a mystery, but all will undoubtedly be revealed over the course of the season.
