BBC Two’s acclaimed documentary series Surgeons at the Edge of Life is back for its eighth series, now airing every Wednesday.
Narrated by Shaun Dooley, the series once again takes viewers inside NHS operating theatres for a powerful, close-up look at life-saving surgery.
Filmed in hospitals across the UK, series 8 captures the skill, teamwork and split-second decision-making required as surgical teams carry out complex and often pioneering procedures. Alongside the operations, the series shares the moving personal stories of patients and their journeys through treatment.
