George Orwell's dystopian novel was first released in 1949, the novel takes place in 1984 London and is about a government party called 'The Party' which is run by a man named 'Big Brother'.

It portrays a totalitarian society where personal freedom is non-existent. It warns against the dangers of totalitarian power, surveillance, propaganda, and thought control.
